EDUCATION:

2000 Dr.-Ing.(Ph.D.), Universität Hannover, Institut für Baumechanik und Numerische Mechanik.
- Advisor: Prof. Dr.-Ing. Peter Wriggers.
- Thesis: "A C1-continuous formulation for finite deformation contact." Thesis research focused on development of smooth frictional 2D and 3D contact elements. C1-continuous contact elements were based on midnode approach and Lagrangian description of contact. Furthermore, large step sliding definition and rolling problems were considered as well.

1997 M.Sc., University of Zagreb, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering & Naval Architecture, Institute of Applied Mechanics.
- Advisor: Prof. Dr.Sc. Jurica Soric.
- Thesis: "Numerical Modeling of Large Elastoplastic Deformations." Thesis research investigated material behavior under large strains. The scope of the work was both theoretical and numerical development of 2-D elasto-plastic finite elements for prediction of materials behavior under large plastic strains.

- Advisor: Prof. Dr.Sc. Jurica Soric.
- Thesis: " Finite Element Analysis of Thin Reservoirs." Thesis research investigated behavior of large vine tanks (volume = 750 m^3). The scope of the work was to both analyze and optimize structural behavior.
