International Workshop on Accurate Eigensolving and Applications

Split, July 11-17, 1996

Talks, Abstracts, and Discussion Proposals

Dear friends and colleagues,

in order to make better plans for our Workshop, and thus for better use of our time during our meeting on a highly specialized and interesting topic of accuracy, we are pleased to ask you for the following information (by April 15, 1996):

1. TALK (if you wish to give any, or you may choose just to attend and to take part in the discussion rounds below)

1a. Title of your talk
1b. Abstract (any length) (ascii, Latex, or PostScript)
1c. Approximate time required (the main speakers should plan with 45-60 min, the others with 15-30 min)
1d. Your preprint or related preprints, if any (PostScrpit)

2. DISCUSSION PROPOSAL

As you remember from the First Announcement, possible general themes for discussion are:

(i) how to turn recent results on accurate algorithms systematically into a good software,
(ii) how to present them in a monograph,
(iii) how to let them influence the teaching of numerical linear algebra,
(iv) real world engineering problems.

We would like you to give specific discussion or working group themes which fall into above general themes or suggest additional topics, preferably with an explanation. Please send the information by e-mail to Ivan Slapnicar, ivan.slapnicar@fesb.hr.

We would then incorporate your data into this information and circulate it, and put it on our home page.

3. WWW Information

We would like to know the WWW address of your home page, so we can include the links in our home page.

Best regards,

P.S. The accomodation information will be available soon.
