Dr. Magazinović received his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Split in 1982,  M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Zagreb University in 1996 and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Split in 2002.

His main area of research is the computer aided design and analysis of mechanical systems. He has developed a range of computer aided design and analysis software tools, mostly for application in the shipbuilding industry, where he spent 13 years as a CAD/CAE designer and a research engineer.

Dr. Magazinović's teaching interests encompass most areas of computer applications, such as computer programming, applied numerical methods, computer aided design, computer aided engineering, and optimum design.

He is a member of ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) and ISSMO (International Society for Structural and Multidisciplinary Optimization).
